I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I have put it to the test. My life is better as I have strived to apply the teaching found in its pages. I’ve read the Book of Mormon many times and it never gets old to me. Christ’s living bread and water is found in it. It contains the fullness of the everlasting gospel, leading us to eternal life!

I testify that if you read and study the Book of Mormon on a daily basis, your life will be better. I remember as a teenager trying to get through the Book of Mormon for the first time. I didn’t really understand what I was reading, but I felt good reading it. Since then I have drunk deep and feasted upon the words of it—and like so many others, I can say the Book of Mormon has impacted my life more than any other book.

It is too difficult to find just one verse that I love more than another. This changes for me based on each phase of life. But here are a few verses I have found helpful recently:

1 Nephi 14:14; 2 Nephi 28:21; 2 Nephi 31:20; Jacob 1:19; Enos 1:4; Mosiah 4:22-23; Alma 5:27; Alma 7:11-12; Alma 56:48; Helaman 5:12; Hel. 12:3; 3 Nephi 17:7-8; 3 Nephi 18:21; 4 Nephi 1:3; Mormon 6:17; Ether 12:27; Moroni 7:47; Moroni 10:32-33

“…As you prayerfully study (the Book of Mormon), I promise that the heavens will open for you, the Lord will bless you with increased inspiration and revelation.”  President Nelson
